FAQ3: Does Life Teen encourage vocations to the priesthood and religious life?
Posted by: Matt Smith In: Frequently Asked Questions
You better believe it! This is one of the absolute top priorities of Life Teen. We encourage vocations at multiple levels:
- At the Parish: One of the most remarkable aspects of a Life Teen program is that it is a provides a young teenage boy or girl an atmosphere at their parish that encourages vocations. We’ve written a number of resources to help parishes host discernment retreats for their youth groups.
- Nationally: In every regional and national event we host for teenagers (camps, LTND, Inspiration Rallies, Steubenville Conferences), we regularly encourage and affirm religious vocations.
- Online: Our website for teenagers (lifeteen.com) has an exciting, relevant vocations section.
- Missionary Internship Programs: We host year-long missionary internship programs for college-aged students at our national headquarters in Arizona and at Covecrest, our summer camp in Georgia. The internship provides a young adult a positive community where he or she is able to discern their vocation while serving the Church.
