FAQ5: Life Teen is doing well as an organization. Why would I donate money to a ministry that is already successful?

Posted by: Matt Smith In: Frequently Asked Questions

To be blunt, people think we are loaded with cash, but we are not.

Our success as a ministry is because we are good stewards of the money that people have given to us. We have a hardworking staff that is determined to extract the most “ministry bang for your buck.” Plus, our Board of Directors offer us prayerful advice on financial matters.

We try to run Life Teen like a good investment portfolio. Except instead of investing in stocks, bonds, etc., we invest our time and treasure in different ministry initiatives. Our Life Support resources and training conferences are stable ministries that lead to stronger parish youth programs. The same could be said of our summer camps, even though at one time they appeared to be risky ministry investments.  We’ve also invested in many online ministry initiatves (lifeteen.com, ym.lifeteen.com, iTunes etc.) that have made quite an impact. What I am getting at is that we have an entrepreneurial spirit that’s is tempered with prayer and good sense.

Why does this matter to you? Our talented staff and a strong infrastructure that allows your donation to go right into action.
